Beef

The cutting edge technology Itau Animal Feeds apply in the Itau Beef Range will help the farmer to transfer feed into food as economical as possible, putting more money into the producer’s pocket.  Our aim is to let the animals put on weight optimally to produce top dress out results.  Attention is given to achieve the lowest possible feed conversion ratio which means that animals should gain maximum weight with the least possible dry matter intake.  Itau’s beef rations are safe, highly mixable and the basic  medicine inclusion will ensure optimal results.

For any specific ration formulation with raw materials available on the farm, contact itau animal Feeds’ Technical Department.

WARNING

  • When changing from an NPN-free ration to a ration containing NPN, it is suggested that the two feeds are mixed in a 50/50 ratio for 4 to 6 days.
  • Protect this feed against rain.  NPN is very soluble and animals that drink such a solution might be poisoned.
  • Do not feed this feed indiscriminately with other NPN containing farm feeds.  Consult an Animal Nutritionist.
  • Vinegar is an effective remedy against NPN poisoning.  Mix with an equal amount of water and dose half a bottle per calf or large sheep or between 2 to 4 bottles per head of cattle (1 bottle = 750ml).
